PERSONAL SECURITYThe shooting at Virginia Tech prompts me to give you a brief summary of defensive living, similar to defensive driving. With the terrorist threat increasing we should think about the unthinkable and imagine scenarios that we may be faced with, so that when it does happen, you react in a rehearsed manner and do not panic.
The Supreme Court has held in a landmark decision in 1989 : nothing requires the State to protect the life, liberty and property of its citizens against invasion by private actors. There is no-one to protect us. We must take the responsibility for personal safety. So here some basic rules for survival:
BE AWARE
The US military teaches soldiers to categorize the levels of awareness by a color code.
WHITE is the typical non defensive driver existing in an ignorant stupor talking on the phone, shaving, eating, doing make-up, etc.
YELLOW alert but relaxed. Know where the exits are, noticing people and their behavior.
ORANGE feeling an unspecified threat caused by an unexpected sound, movement, or behavior. At this level your body’s fight or flee instincts start to operate affecting your pulse, breathing and heart rate.
RED You recognize the source of the danger, search for escape routes or weapons that you could use.
BLACK You are under deadly attack with no escape. If armed you must use your weapon.
(Incidentally the above colors can be used at code words when communicating with others in a dangerous environment ie by phone.)
Many people live in a constant WHITE condition. Living a YELLOW existence does not make you paranoid. Just as dogs and other animals can sense your state of mind, so can criminals. Just being observant and alert will make you the Alpha leader in life situations. Unfortunately the BODY ALARM REACTIONS (BAR) you experience under ORANGE condition are NOT within your control because they are physical consequences inherited from our ancestors. By understanding them, however, you may function with them and use them to your advantage. These reactions vary from person to person.
Some of us are blessed to be able to stay calm but others suffer impaired thinking, paralysis, loss of hearing or vision, and a distortion of time. The body’s natural urge to survive makes the adrenal glands create a surge in blood pressure, pulse and breathing. These are natural symptoms and are not preventable.
USE CYBERNETICS
If you can imagine future situations and imagine your reaction to them, it will be much easier to deal with such situation when they occur because you had already rehearsed your actions and you follow a known script, rather then have to improvise while impacted by BAR. It is also important to imagine you actions rather than your reactions. If you are in proper physical condition you should be able to learn empty handed skills and if you are eligible, you should obtain a Concealed Weapons Permit. Remember what Leo Durocher said: Nice ballplayers don’t win ball games.

“I live in northern New England, which has a very low crime rate, in part because it has a high rate of gun ownership. We do have the occasional murder, however. A few years back, a couple of alienated loser teens from a small Vermont town decided they were going to kill somebody, steal his ATM cards, and go to Australia. So they went to a remote house in the woods a couple of towns away, knocked on the door, and said their car had broken down. The guy thought their story smelled funny so he picked up his Glock and told ‘em to get lost. So they concocted a better story, and pretended to be students doing an environmental survey. Unfortunately, the next old coot in the woods was sick of environmentalists and chased ‘em away. Eventually they figured they could spend months knocking on doors in rural Vermont and New Hampshire and seeing nothing for their pains but cranky guys in plaid leveling both barrels through the screen door. So even these idiots worked it out: Where’s the nearest place around here where you’re most likely to encounter gullible defenseless types who have foresworn all means of resistance? Answer: Dartmouth College. So they drove over the Connecticut River, rang the doorbell, and brutally murdered a couple of well-meaning liberal professors. Two depraved misfits of crushing stupidity (to judge from their diaries) had nevertheless identified precisely the easiest murder victims in the twin-state area. To promote vulnerability as a moral virtue is not merely foolish. “Everyone who cared the least bit about this [South Carolina Democrat] debate knew that, although there were eight candidates on stage... it was really a debate between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. The whole world is making goods for Wal-Mart and we are enjoying it. Are these the same people who couldn’t pick Pelosi out of a lineup? Or the 85 percent who couldn’t name the Senate majority leader? A PRACTICAL IMMIGRATION PLANby T. W. Tibby Weston
It would be hard for me to just stand by and watch the immigration
debate, take an emotional, uninformed and unrealistic position and go
back watching the ball game, or do business as usual. The immigration
dilemma facing the nation brought to the surface an issue almost as
critical to the survival of this nation as finding an answer to the
radical Islamist confrontation. I can not just stand by because I am
uniquely qualified to speak out on this issue and keeping silent would
equal cowardly shirking my obligation to speak out. Before making any
recommendations I need to give you some background to justify them.
1. I am an American By Choice. I know the difficulties an immigrant
faces to overcome bureaucratic bungling, discriminatory quotas,
exorbitant delays, and financial sacrifices just to achieve the right
to come to the United States. I also know the joy and the pride an
American By Choice feels when he can be called an American Citizen.
On July 3 1953 I was sworn in as an American Citizen at the Federal
Courthouse in Houston. As soon as the ceremonies ended, my wife and I
put our children in the back of the station wagon and drove 5 hours to
reach the Mexican border. We drove across the bridge and made a U-turn
just to hear the immigration inspector ask: “Are you an American
citizen?” Proudly we explained that we had been since 1 PM that day. We
waited six years for someone finally to ask us if we were American
citizens. Nobody in six years ever asked.
This is lesson Number 1. It was immaterial to everyone around us if we
were citizens or not as long as we worked, performed for the benefit of
the community and the nation and were not becoming a public charge.
One of the conditions of allowing legal entry into the United States
for the last 50 years has been an assurance that the immigrant will not
become a public charge. Individual or corporate sponsors had to provide
a financial guarantee by providing an affidavit as to their financial
capacity to provide such a guarantee.
In my position, I held in Europe before I came here, expediting the
emigration of thousands of refugees after World War 2, I have examined
thousands of such guarantees before they were submitted to the American Consul in behalf of the proposed emigrant.
The size of the financial statement was not as material than the motivation of the affiant to take responsibility for the immigrant.
2. Here is what I learned about border fences and walls. In 1988 when
I returned to Europe, I stood on the border between Hungary and
Austria. The occasion was a reunion of my labor battalion. The
authorities allowed us to ascend the mountains where we once labored,
suffered and later hid. Barbed wire fences, mine fields, guard towers,
patrols with German shepherd attack dogs violated the beauty of the
forest. This was a formidable wall to prevent Hungarians from leaving
their communist “paradise”. The Commandant of the Border Guard had a
surprising story to tell. He said that there was no longer any need for
these fortification since Hungarians now could get a passport and
travel to the West. The occasional violators were East Germans, who
were not allowed to leave their country and chose transit through
Hungary to escape.
Here is lesson Number 2. If you provide a legal, regulated crossing of
a border there is no longer any need to excessively fortify it, except
to prevent the crossing of a few undesirables.
3. In 1956 after the unsuccessful Hungarian Revolution, thousands of
Hungarians fled their country and hundreds came to Houston. These were
refugees fleeing prosecution and possible death. They did not come for
economic opportunity. Many had intentions to someday return to their
homeland. We must differentiate between people moving to the United
States. The most important determining factor should be if they want to
become American Citizens and assimilate into this country, or do they
intend to be temporary visitors seeking refuge or only economic
opportunity, with no intention of assimilation, or desire of
citizenship. It is important that you read the Oath a new citizen must
take:
“I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and
abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate,
state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject
or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of
the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will
bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by law; that I
will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United
States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national
importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that
I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose
of evasion; so help me God. In acknowledgement whereof I have hereunto
affixed my signature.”
There should be no allowance for dual citizenship, or voting in
elections in a foreign nation, or serving in its military. True faith
should also mean that a new citizen would renounce any faith that
prevents allegiance to the United States if he or she wants to be a
citizen.
Contrary of the popular belief that the United States is a melting pot
I have often stated that we are like a pot of boiling water into which
dumplings are tossed to cook. After a period of time those dumplings
that are ready will rise to the surface. They will still retain their
shape, color or consistency but have become American. Those who did not
become American or do not intend to become American will never rise to the
surface, will never be ready, will never be counted on.
Unfortunately the “Balkanization” of America has started in the last 50
years by creating self-interested hyphenated-American citizen groups
This cult of ethnicity has resulted in the fragmentation and
tribalization of America by special-interest ethnic groups promoted and
catered to by the political parties.
Lesson 3 is that we must treat and handle those who want to assimilate
and become citizens differently that those who are here only for a job,
or economic opportunity without any intention to become citizens.
As we face a Congress with both branches taking irresponsible,
demagogic positions we must find simple step-by-step solutions. The
present disaster was created over a period of many decades and cannot
be resolved instantly. Here is my recommendation:
1. Access to entry to the United States shall be divided into three
groups.
A. Visitors, tourists, students for a temporary stay of less than one
year. They shall not be entitled to tax-subsidized medical, educational
and social services. Asylum seekers, political refugees, displaced
persons shall be subject to strict investigation before being allowed
into any of these categories.
B. Economic opportunity seekers with intention to retain their foreign
citizenship. These shall be allowed to stay as long as an employer
certifies their employment. Unemployment over 90 days cancels their
residency permit. All FICA, unemployment insurance contributions
withheld from this group shall either be deposited in a special “Alien
Relief Fund” to assist with health care or used to buy transferable
group health insurance from the private sector.
C. Immigrants with the desire to become American citizens must be
sponsored guaranteeing that they will not become a public charge.
Intention to become a citizen is to be announced with “First Papers “
filed within 2 years of entry. There will be a residency requirement of
5 years before an application for citizenship can be filed and
approved. Condition of citizenship will involve the ability to
communicate in English; not having been a public charge during the
5-year qualifying period; passing an examination regarding knowledge of
the history and political system of the United States, commensurate to
the educational level of the applicant; no history of anti-American or
unpatriotic activity. Serving in the US military will reduce the
qualification time by the time served.
D. Children born to group A. and B. visitors shall not automatically
receive US citizenship.
E. Group A. and B. entrants cannot transfer to Group C. unless they
return to their homeland and re-enter as a Group C applicant.
F. Criminal conviction involving moral turpitude shall automatically
cancel the right of residency for members of all three groups without
the necessity of further legal action.
2. Entry procedures shall be modernized and simplified allowing all
applicants rapid entry subject to less bureaucracy and expense,
eliminating the necessity of illegal entry. Private industry should
able to import workers and guarantee their employment. Employment
agencies specializing in seasonal workers shall be able to
guarantee employment of the “guest worker” within a reasonable
time. To avoid illegal entry, legal entry must be simplified and expanded
and legal presence better controlled. The present unholy alliance
between the INS and immigration attorneys, consultants-mostly former
government employees-must be stopped.
3. A permanent national ID card with biologically assured certainty,
(fingerprint etc.) shall be issued for all citizens and group C.
immigrants. A similar card shall be issued to all A.B. group members
that expires automatically at the end of the permitted residency and
must be renewed.
4. The borders shall be delineated and fortified. The border patrol
shall be militarized and merged with the National Guard of each border
state. Border enforcement shall become a State function funded and
supervised by the Federal Government. The State has a larger security
concern about its borders than a bureaucrat in Washington DC.
5. Aliens currently residing in the United States without proof of
legal entry shall declare their intentions as to which group they
intend to belong. Those residing here for 5 years or more shall be able
to apply for legal status and become Group C. members and become
eligible in an additional 5 years with the conditions applicable to all
Group C. members.
Failure to apply for citizenship within 10 years of eligibility implies
lack of intention and shall revert the alien to group B. status.
Those residing here for less than 5 years would be considered Group B.
and treated accordingly.
The above is but a brief outline of a possible plan. Proposals of mass
deportations and mass amnesty are results of politically motivated
grandstanding and are not designed to solve any problem, but to gain
votes with a favored constituency.
Fifty years ago I made speeches during a span of over 20 years
describing to astonished audiences that the best proof of American
citizenship was that there was nothing in your valet to prove that you
were a citizen. The power of negative proof was enough. In every other
country you had to carry numerous documents to positively prove who you
were. Not in the United States. With our unprotected borders and
millions of illegal aliens among us, we now need to adopt the
requirement of positive proof. With the politically motivated “motor
voter laws” anyone can now pretend to be a citizen and vote in our
elections. We even have laws to prohibit asking for proof of
citizenship before issuance of a voter registration card. The value of
citizenship has been prostituted for the sake of getting votes, even if
illegal. The time has come to restore the value of citizenship and not
dilute it further by making it meaningless.
If the above sounds too complicated, then you should look
at the present horrendously complicated system
at (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis and perhaps
you will understand why it takes $10,000-$20,000 to become a citizen.
TEXAS SENATE FIASCOI am having difficulty finding the proper words to express my disgust and anger at the Texas Senate, which could not find 21 Senators to vote in favor of a bill that would require that illegal aliens, convicts should not be allowed to vote in elections and that prevailing voter fraud that permeates big city votes in Texas should be stopped by demanding that one person could only vote one time. Of the 31 Senators 21 were needed to get to issue to vote. Eleven Democrats have stopped the measure, effectively declaring that they are not interested in stopping voter fraud. I am not surprised since I have first hand knowledge how elections have been stolen by multiple voting; illegal aliens voting, occupants of cemeteries and Alzheimer patients in nursing homes voting. Absentee ballots written by the same person for hundreds of people allegedly living at the same address have been common in Texas elections.
What is wrong with you people who would just sit there enjoy American Idol, while your single most important power, your vote, is being stolen blatantly in an in your face manner? Democrats are not interested in providing ID cards for voters. They want to prostitute your citizenship, dilute your vote and eventually convert this nation to mob rule by governing through demonstrations and riots. It is not too late. Call those sorry SOBs in Austin and tell them they are betraying this country by destroying the honesty of our elections and if they whine that the poor would not have an I-card, tell them you will pay for it. As a matter of fact you have already paid for it. Billions in surplus taxes are sitting in Austin waiting to be spent on some lucrative inside deals, but none to provide ID cards to stop the crocodile tears of gutless politicians bemoaning how poor people can’t afford an ID Card. They certainly are able to buy phony Drivers Licenses, Social Security cards and false immigration documents at any flea market, but they wont have any money to get a legitimate ID card? If it wouldn’t be so late I’d throw up. What a disgusting bunch of high faluting gangsters!

ON THE SUICIDE WATCHA presidential candidate says Muslims do not want to harm us, just want to change our policy towards Israel and just stop our involvement in the Middle East and Islam will live in peace with us. In my book, THE DUAL PALINDROME, I carefully traced Jihads against Western Civilizations for more than a thousand years. We are still the same "Crusaders" to Islam, in their own words today, as we were a thousand years ago.
We are told again and again by "experts" and "talking heads" that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace.
Although this assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history.
It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. The hard provable fact is that the "peaceful majority" the "silent majority" is cowed and extraneous.
Communist Russia comprised Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant.
China's huge population, it was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.
The average Japanese individual prior to World War 2 was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel and bayonet.
And, who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were "peace loving"?
History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence.
Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because they will awake one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.
Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians,Rwandans, Serbs Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late.
As for us who watch it all unfold; we must pay attention to the only group that counts; the fanatics who threaten our way of life. It looks sometimes as if we are on a suicide watch.

Iran and North Korea are in advanced negotiations for Tehran’s purchase of Taep’o-dong-2 ballistic missiles, whose estimate range is 3,500-4,000 km., exclusive intelligence sources report. North Korea’s deputy foreign minister Kim Hyong brought the proposition to its final stages when he visited Tehran in the first week of May. Delivery was promised for late July or early August. US Vice President Richard Cheney informed Saudi King Abdullah of this development during his May visit to Riyadh.
Israeli military sources say that Iranian president Mahoud Ahmadinejad’s declarations are made more ominous than ever by knowledge of the deal. Sunday he declared the countdown has begun for the demise of the Zionist state.

The US Navy reported Iran is increasing its fleet of small attack boats capable of striking at warships and disrupting oil traffic in the Gulf oil export chokepoint in the Strait of Hormuz.

Fierce battles between Turkish army and Kurdish PKK rebels on both sides of Turkish-Iraqi border have broken out. A Turkish Black Hawk was shot down over Iraq and several tanks hit. Heavy casualties are reported on both sides.
The PKK Kurdish Workers Party turns out to have been ready for the major Turkish operation, well-armed with anti-tank and shoulder-borne missiles for shooting down Turkish warplanes and helicopters. Despite Ankara’s blackout on the scale of operation against the Kurdish rebels on both sides of the border and the scope of the Turkish incursion of Iraq, military sources report the situation as of Thursday, June 7:
PKK bands, who stole earlier into southeastern Turkey from Iraq and locally, are hitting Turkish concentrations behind the lines and impeding their thrust into Iraqi Kurdistan to destroy rebel hideouts. The Turkish army is therefore fighting on two fronts: in the southeastern Turkish mountains and the River Cehennem, as well as in northern Iraq.
Confidential military sources reported Wednesday that the several thousand troops which entered N. Iraq were only the first wave of the Turkish invasion, with more to come. US State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said the US ambassador to Ankara had met with the Turkish General Staff, which confirmed that the initial reports of the invasion were not accurate. Later reports spoke of a “cross-border” raid.
Our confidential military sources estimate that some 15,000 rebel Kurdish Workers Party, PKK, are holed up in Iraqi Kurdistan. To destroy their bases would require many more than the few thousand Turkish troops and longer than a cross-border raid admitted by Ankara – especially if the incursion sparked Iraqi Kurdish resistance as has been threatened.
An expert on Turkey at the Washington Institute for Near East policy, Soner Cagaptay, is quoted by the New York Sun as estimating there are now 250,000 soldiers massed at the Qandil mountain range on the border with northern Iraq, including heavy artillery and tanks. An Iraqi official cited 100,000.
The Turkish news agency Cehan reported Wednesday that three F-16 Falcon fighter bombers had carried out bombing raids on positions of the PKK in northern Iraq. Artillery deployed at the border with Iraq had fired at “pinpointed targets.”
On June 2, US troops had withdrawn from northern Iraq and passed responsibility for the region’s security to the Iraqi Kurdish peshmerga. This followed an urgent message Iraqi Kurdistan’s president, Massoud Barzani, sent to Ankara by a personal emissary, Safin Dizai, warning that Turkish tanks would not be allowed to cross into northern Iraq. The Kurdish peshmerga would repel them. “The people of Kurdistan,“ said the messenger, “would not stand by as spectators if Turkish tanks and panzers entered Kirkuk.”
Monday, Kurdish PKK rebels killed at least 8 soldiers, wounding 6, in a suicide attack on an E. Turkish checkpoint at Tunceli.
After the attack, Turkish foreign minister Abdullah Gulf defended his country’s right to drive into neighboring Iraq to destroy rebel bases.
Turkey has imposed three-month martial law on its border region with Iraq, and closed the region’s airspace to civilian flights

The Russians are upgrading and expanding their Kant airbase in Kyrgyzstan, which houses a rapid deployment force special operations unit and warplanes outside the capital of the former Soviet republic. Whereas Moscow operates the facility gratis, the US base at Manas with its 1,200 US personnel is an important revenue source for Kyrgyzstan. Last year President Kurnmanbek Bakiyev threatened to evict US forces unless payment was upped tenfold to $200m. Washington agreed to pay $150m in 2006 in the form of aid and rent. Closure of the US Karshi-Khanabad facility in Uzbekistan has increased US reliance on the Kyrgyz base for its war effort in Afghanistan. Putin would like to have US anti missile defenses installed in Azerbaijan, under the watchful eyes of his special rapid deployment forces, able and ready to take over the facility in the event of an outbreak of hostility.

Middle East diplomatic sources said U.S. envoys have repeatedly signaled that Washington plans to withdraw from Iraq and most of the Gulf region. INTEL The Iranian navy appears to be training in the use of "swarming" tactics. This involves squadrons of about a hundred small boats (20-70 feet long, moving at speeds of 70-90 kilometers an hour) approaching U.S. warships. Some 10-20 percent of the Iranian boats would be equipped with anti-ship missiles (like the 21 foot long, 1,500 pound Chinese C-802). Some smaller boats have been seen equipped with anti-tank missiles. The idea is that some of these boats would make it to the American ships, 50-100 kilometers away, and inflict some damage. China was thought to be planning on the same tactics, but has apparently abandoned it as impractical. Iran, however, has over a thousand of these small boats, and buys more every month. The U.S. navy has been practicing, for over a decade, defending itself against such swarms. Wargame simulations indicate the swarms would lose, but you never know. Iran also has over 5,000 naval mines, a weapon that U.S. Navy wargames have shown to be much more troublesome than swarms. The Iranian preference for "swarm tactics" has a lot to do with their inability to build or buy anything much better. Moreover, all those small boats keep thousands of pro-clergy militiamen occupied, and makes for great propaganda videos.

How would the people of the United States of America feel if their southern states had been the objective of foreign women, travelling there simply to give birth, and to give birth not to one, two or three children, but to ten, eleven, twelve or fifteen, and who, using the birthright as a tool, then called every family member, close or distant, to push out the original inhabitants?
How would the people of the United States of America feel if the inhabitants of their southern states were then bombed and forced out of their homes because the international community decided that the new residents had rights over the original ones?

Universities tighten up security in wake of recent bombings
Schools and universities throughout the capital have tightened security as students take final exams amid a spate of bombings that began on May 20 in Achrafieh. Several incidents involving dynamite and hand grenades in and around academic institutions in recent weeks have been blamed on the Fatah al-Islam.

This is a controversy that will delay the entry of a badly needed combat search-and-rescue helicopter – unless McCain succeeds in killing it. Worse, McCain's crusade ignores the fact that the HH-47 not only outclasses the present system in use, but it also was better than the competitors.

Gaza is becoming more like Somalia, with multiple armed groups struggling like gangsters to control their turf. Into the mix has come Islamic fundamentalist groups, who want to control every aspect of peoples lives. Thus nearly a hundred businesses and organizations, believed to be "un-Islamic" have been attacked recently in Gaza. These include video stores, Internet cafes and schools that are not run by clerics. Some of the Gaza warlords have allied themselves with the Islamic radicals to increase their power. Like Somalia, Gaza faces invasion by a neighbor the Islamic militants have vowed to destroy. For Somalia, this was Christian Ethiopia. For Gaza, it's Israel. Somalia is considered a "failed State," a country that never worked. Sounds like the Palestinians as well.
The latest peace deal in Gaza has fallen apart. While Fatah controls security forces with 80,000 armed men, the 10,000 or so armed men loyal to Hamas are more aggressive and effective. The rest of the Arab world is dismayed at the continued Palestinian failure to run their own affairs.
In Lebanon, Hizbollah is increasingly criticized for getting into a war with Israel, that resulted in doing great damage to Lebanon, and Hizbollah, while actually making Israel stronger. Even Hizbollah's leader has openly admired how the Israelis learn from their mistakes, while such a thing is unknown in the Arab world.

China arming terrorists New intelligence reveals China is covertly supplying large quantities of small arms and weapons to insurgents in Iraq and the Taliban militia in Afghanistan, through Iran.
U.S. government appeals to China to check some of the arms shipments in advance were met with stonewalling by Beijing, which insisted it knew nothing about the shipments and asked for additional intelligence on the transfers. The ploy has been used in the past by China to hide its arms-proliferation activities from the United States, according to U.S. officials with access to the intelligence reports.
Some arms were sent by aircraft directly from Chinese factories to Afghanistan and included large-caliber sniper rifles, millions of rounds of ammunition, rocket-propelled grenades and components for roadside bombs, as well as other small arms.
The Washington Times reported June 5 that Chinese-made HN-5 anti-aircraft missiles were being used by the Taliban.
According to the officials, the Iranians, in buying the arms, asked Chinese state-run suppliers to expedite the transfers and to remove serial numbers to prevent tracing their origin. China, for its part, offered to transport the weapons in order to prevent the weapons from being interdicted.
The weapons were described as "late-model" arms that have not been seen in the field before and were not left over from Saddam Hussein's rule in Iraq.
U.S. Army specialists suspect the weapons were transferred within the past three months.
The Bush administration has been trying to hide or downplay the intelligence reports to protect its pro-business policies toward China, and to continue to claim that China is helping the United States in the war on terrorism. U.S. officials have openly criticized Iran for the arms transfers but so far there has been no mention that China is a main supplier.
Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said Wednesday that the flow of Iranian arms to Afghanistan is "fairly substantial" and that it is likely taking place with the help of the Iranian government.
Defense officials are upset that Chinese weapons are being used to kill Americans. "Americans are being killed by Chinese-supplied weapons, with the full knowledge and understanding of Beijing where these weapons are going," one official said.
The arms shipments show that the idea that China is helping the United States in the war on terrorism is "utter nonsense," the official said.BG

JUSTICERecent news events prompted me to write about a matter I know quite a bit about: the criminal justice system. Nifong resigns; Fitzgerald indicts Libby; crime labs are in a chaos. It is an unfortunate fact that our justice system lacks an important element: justice.
Most people do not understand that a District Attorney or US attorney does not seek justice. As a matter of fact it is just the opposite. They are in the business of indicting people. They are allowed under the law to lie and misrepresent to Grand Juries and to juries, withhold evidence favoring the defendant and cajole, force and intimidate the accused to obtain a confession.
One of the most flagrant abuses is the usage of false scientific evidence to force an accused to confess to a crime. Court appointed defense attorneys are in on the scam and bring offers of reduced sentences to the accused pointing out to them that at trial when the jury hears about the scientific evidence the outcome could be much worse. Thousands of innocent people are in prisons who have never faced a jury where they could proclaim their innocence because of plea bargains defense lawyers secured from willing prosecutors.
Fitzgerald was appointed special prosecutor to find out who leaked restricted information about Valerie Plame. Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald knew that no one in the Bush Administration was responsible for any leak of Valerie Plame’s name before he began his investigation into the Bush Administration. Via a phone call from Richard Armitage, Fitzgerald knew former State Department employee Armitage was the actual “leaker”.
But, it is now being revealed that Fitzgerald told Armitage not to say anything about [his] being the actual leak source. Instead, Fitzgerald pursued his case against the Bush Administration. Fitzgerald withheld that information in order to pursue a political witch-hunt lasting more than a year, costing millions and resulting in the conviction of Libby who could not recall what happened two years earlier. It turned out there never was any crime committed by the disclosure. So Libby goes to jail for lying about a non existing crime while the prosecutor wasn’t looking for who made the disclosure, but who could be trapped into a lie due to a faulty memory.
In Houston, just as throughout the nation, crime labs were nothing but a tool of the prosecution to get easy confessions. Just imagine that you are accused of a crime you did not commit and your attorney informs you that scientific evidence proves that you did it? Your family, your friends, your community all believe that you are lying. Just imagine the hopelessness when the DA generously offers to send you away for 20 or 30 years instead of you having to face the death penalty if convicted by a jury?
I had a suspicion that prosecutors knew about these fake lab reports and asked the District Attorney to reform the Grand Jury proceedings. Everybody on the Grand Jury and those appearing before the Grand Jury are sworn to tell the truth except for one person: the prosecutor. He is allowed to present hearsay and otherwise inadmissible evidence, outright lie in order to get an indictment. With the indictment in hand he can now use fraudulent lab results to get a confession or a conviction. As Chairman of the Harris County Grand Jury Association I asked that the prosecutor presenting the case to the Grand Jury be sworn in to make sure he is not knowingly trying to railroad an innocent person. The District Attorney, claiming that the prosecutor does not know if the evidence and facts submitted are true, rejected the request. My request was that the prosecutors disclose whether they are knowingly submitting false information.
Swearing in a prosecutor is but a minimal step to achieve justice in a system designed favor the rich and influential.

When confronting a pack of wolves we desperately try to make distinctions between the more and less ferocious leaders of the pack. The problem is that the less ferocious one usually turns out to be the meeker, the front wolf. He can be used to hold us off while the pack gets ready. Yesterday, that familiar pattern played out in Iran. "Reformer" Khatami was put forward to generate false hope in Iran and abroad. He did little to change the theocracy but the hope he generated brought Iran good press, economic investment and even an apology from Madam secretary Albright. He was promptly followed by the growling Ahmadinejad.
Today "reformer" Abbas and his Fatah movement were violently evicted by Hamas. "'Good Guy' Fatah vs. 'Bad Guy' Hamas" is a complete fraud; the difference between the two is merely cosmetic. Unfortunately, American policy is based on the difference. False hopes.
The result of the false hopes? Hamas captured Fatah assets in Gaza include American weapons and CIA documents. Israel did not fall into the trap of arming the Fatah but it seems that those CIA documents contain "information about the collaboration between Fatah and the Israeli and American security organizations; CIA methods on how to prevent attacks, chase and follow after cells of Hamas and the Committees; plans about Fatah assassinations of members of Hamas and other organizations; and American studies on the security situation in Gaza."
As unsettling as the Hamas takeover may be to Western policy makers, I can only hope that it will lead us to confront the Saudi reality with clearer eyes. Saudi Arabia is currently ruled by a kind of Khatami - Abbas type reformer. Competing with the elderly king, is the man who will be king, Price Nayef, the Saudi interior minister, the most powerful man in Saudi Arabia. Prince Nayef wants to make the country so straight laced Wahabi, that Al Qaeda would not be able to outflank it with the fanatic Salafist clerics. Indeed, he would use his petrodollars even more on exporting Wahabi ideology. In other words, a Saudi Ahmadinejad is coming to the land of chopped limbs, hate school books and Islamist propaganda diffusion and exported to the USA.
In the meantime, Prince Nayef is in charge of the Morality police which has recently claimed the lives of four innocent Saudis.
As for Iraq, an American exist from Iraq would lead to a mass infusion of Saudi cash into the pockets of Iraqi Sunnis who are sure to embark on an effort to reconstitute their rule of Iraq where they still "do not feel as a minority."
The point is that time is not on our side and attempt to cooperate with so called moderates is futile. The time has come to gather our strength and recommit to this war on Islamist terror ASAP. The longer we procrastinate, the harder will the task be. At the moment the wolves smell our weakness and the results are deadly.

The USA is incapable of attacking Iran, at least in the near future. Members of the UN Security Council are currently developing new measures against Iran. However, it takes quite a time to develop sanctions. Russia and China have raised objections to nearly every Western proposal for new UN sanctions against Iran over its peaceful nuclear program, showing flexibility only for a limited ban on arms exports. The U.S. and a number of European countries claim that Iran is seeking to build nuclear weapons but Tehran has repeatedly denied the charge, saying its nuclear program is peaceful and is only designed to generate electricity.
As long as the international community is busy with developing its further decisions, Iran continues its nuclear program without sanctions and war. Experts still try to guess whether Iran is working on the program for defensive purposes or not. Some agree with Iran’s official point of view and say that the development of the nuclear industry is a national goal of first priority for Iran. The answer to the question will appear in a couple of years – this is the time period needed for the creation of an A-bomb.

KNOW THE ENEMY. REPORT #1.Jamaat ul Fuqra – a dangerous terrorist organization inside the North America
Perhaps the most insidiously dangerous of all terrorist organizations that maintain an active presence inside the U.S., and the forerunner of all Islamic terrorist training based in the U.S. and Canada, predating al Qaeda by nearly a decade, is the Pakistani-based terrorist organization Jamaat ul Fuqra led by terrorist Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani. Since 1980, at least a dozen Jamaat ul-Fuqra members have been convicted for terrorist activities, including conspiracy to commit murder, firebombings, and gun smuggling. Jamaat ul-Fuqra members are also suspected in 10 unsolved assassinations and 17 bombings that have occurred since Gilani established his organization when he spent time at a Brooklyn, NY mosque in 1980.
Their campaign of crime on U.S. soil began almost at once.” Gilani’s ideology begins with the idea that moderate Muslim leaders have lost the moral authority and vision to achieve “victory” and that he is the only true defender of Islam. He considers all those who do not follow the tenets of Islam (as laid out in the Qu’ran) to be his enemies. This includes non-Muslims as well as Muslims he deems as heretics. Members of his U.S. compounds must take an oath to Jamaat ul Fuqra and Gilani that states: "I shall always hear and obey, and whenever given the command, I shall readily fight for Allah's sake."
Once Gilani established his organization in the U.S., he returned to Pakistan, where he currently resides in the city of Lahore. According to a number of media reports and intelligence briefs, Gilani was a participant in a “terrorist summit” In Khartoum, in December 1993, at which time he rubbed elbows with Osama bin Laden, Ayman al Zawahiri, and other well-known and still sought Islamic terrorists. According to one government report, the Canadian Broadcasting Company filmed Gilani and the others shouting anti-U.S. and anti-Semitic chants such as “Death to the Jews, Death to America, Down, down USA, and down CIA!”
According to the Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC) that serves more than 1,800 criminal justice agencies located in 14 states in the southern U.S., including Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, there are over 35 known Jamaat ul Fuqra compounds located inside the United States under the control of Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani. They operate under the names Muslims of the Americas, Inc., a “front organization” established by Gilani in 1990 (based on ROCIC reports), and the Qu’ranic Open University, which was also founded by Gilani.
The locations are scattered throughout the United States, located mostly in sparsely populated rural locations including: Marion, Alabama; Augusta, Georgia; Commerce, Georgia; Macon Georgia; Talihina, Oklahoma; York County, South Carolina; Dover, Tennessee; Red House, Virginia, and Roanoke, Virginia. Other Jamaat ul Fuqra compounds are located in Washington, Colorado, Michigan, and California. Due to occasionally heightened attention and complaints by local residents, some encampments have become more transient over the last several years – moving from one rural location to another.
As we previously reported, their North American headquarters is located in Hancock, NY, which is an encampment of trailers, outbuildings, and various other structures spread over a large area that is adjacent to a reservoir that provides dinking water to all five boroughs of the greater New York City area. Notably, other compounds are situated in the same manner – close to significant infrastructure targets. For example, the Jamaat ul-Fuqra property in Dover, Tennessee is located along a power easement seven miles west of the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Cumberland Fossil Plant, a plant that produces more power than any other plant in the TVA system. Twelve miles northeast is Fort Campbell, home of the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division.
Known compounds and areas of activity
Nearby residents to the compounds report hearing gunfire coming from the compounds, a fact that one resident of Islamberg publicly admitted to John Mazor, a reporter for the New York Post. The article in the New York Post states that "reports of gunfire and military-style physical training at the camp have led some investigators to believe that the group's members are preparing for homegrown jihad." Stated one member of Islamberg: "We got guns up here just like everyone else got guns."
In America, it is one’s right to own a gun. Even in Islamberg, a Muslim enclave that boasts of adhering to its own set of laws inside of the compound, based on Sharia law and allegiance to the Sheikh Gilani and his beliefs – one has the right to own a firearm as long as such ownership complies with federal and state firearms laws. Based on Islamberg’s ties to Pakistani Sheikh Gilani, however, and a population that is composed – at least partially – of recruits from the state and federal prison system, questions must be raised.
Members of Jamaat ul Fuqra, or those who have been assisted by that organization include but are not limited to such terrorists as Richard Reid, the infamous “shoe bomber,” and John Allen Muhammad, the senior “DC sniper” who reportedly received assistance from a Virginia Jamaat ul Fuqra compound.
Gilani predicts a clash between Muslims and non-Muslims “the world over,” more importantly, however, it is that the training for the upcoming clash is taking place in our own backyard, yet too few are paying attention.

NATIONALISM VS CAPITALISMBy Tibby Weston
We are living an unusual period in the history of civilization. Nationalism, in its broadest sense, is a devotion to one's own nation and its interests over those of all other nations. The term can also refer to a doctrine or political movement that holds that a nation—usually defined in terms of ethnicity or culture—has the right to constitute an independent or autonomous political community based on a shared history, common destiny and language.
Nationalism has had an enormous influence on world history. In modern times, the nation-state has become the dominant form of societal organization. Historians use the term nationalism to refer to this historical transition and to the emergence and predominance of nationalist ideology. When nationalism combines with socialism, as in the National Socialist Party of Germany, it becomes an extreme form of nationalism, such as those propagated by fascist movements in the twentieth century, which hold that nationality is the most important aspect of one's identity and attempt to define the nation in terms of race or genetics.
Capitalism is the system of "economic freedom" and is the prime requisite of political freedom. Centralized control of economic activity is always accompanied by political repression. When transactions in a market economy are voluntary, such wide diversity of voluntary activity is a fundamental threat to repressive political leaders and greatly diminishes their power to coerce. Capitalism is vital for freedom to survive and thrive. A capitalist economy offers far more opportunities for individuals to raise their income through new professions or business ventures than do other economic forms. This potential is much greater than in socialist or centrally planned societies.
Most of us consider ourselves Nationalist Capitalists enjoying economic and political freedom, which is this nation’s predominant patriotic characteristic.
The illegal immigration issue suddenly created a chasm between the Nationalist Patriot and the Capitalist. The Patriot is devoted to his nation, its culture and will fight and sacrifice to defend it. A Capitalist has no such allegiance to any nation except to the idea of freedom to trade and earn money. As a result the Capitalist will move his loyalty to any place that improves profits, outsource labor to the cheapest provider, or in our case ignore the Nationalist concerns in order to import cheap labor.
Unfortunately the political party most damaged by this conflict is the Republican Party, home of the Nationalists and Capitalists until now. The Nationalist argues that cheap labor is only seemingly cheap, because the Capitalist pays so little that its laborers become dependent on public services- provided by the Nationalist. This is good business for the Capitalist. Privatizing the profits, socializing the losses. The Nationalist is faced with the necessity of abandoning his concept of economic freedom to force the Capitalist to carry more of the social burden. This leads to the anathema of Government regulations and expenditures increasing during the governance of the Nationalists.
Political movements are shaken by these developments. Even socialist unions become in favor of importing cheap labor that damages their membership, in the hope that the cheap laborer will join the union to exact higher wages from the Capitalist; knowing fully, that as soon as the cheap labor become more expensive, the Capitalist will abandon it and seek cheap labor elsewhere.
I do not have the answer to this brand of new development, other than that the Nationalist should try to convince the Capitalist that it is in our mutual interest to protect this nation, the prime home of the Capitalist, otherwise we self destruct and there are no Capitalists in Islam, only despots and religious tyrants.

In Moscow, PRAVDA reports that the US is unable to carry out any military action against Iran, because it will result in a major economic calamity in the US ($10+/gallon gas) and retaliatory suicide bombings throughout the US by Muslim sleeper cells. Missiles and other major weapon systems provided by Russia and China, and in many instances manned by foreign"military advisers", will cause major damage to the US Navy.
THREE CARRIER STRIKE GROUPS DEPLOYED TO THE PERSIAN GULF.The USS Enterprise CVN 65-Big E Strike Group will join the USS Stennis and the USS Nimitz carriers, building up the largest sea, air, marine concentration the United States has ever deployed opposite Iran. Stennis and its strike group has been in the North Arabian Sea since June 14, along with the USS Nimitz (CVN 68) Carrier Strike Group and the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) Expeditionary Strike Group.
Big E is the centerpiece of the Enterprise Carrier Strike Group, which also includes the guided-missile destroyers USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) and USS Stout (DDG 55), USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98), and USS James E. Williams (DDG 95); the guided-missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64), the fast-attack submarine USS Philadelphia (SSN 690) and the fast combat supply ship USNS Supply (T-AOE 6).
In addition to being the flagship of the strike group, Enterprise is also the home to CVW-1. Patrick Fitzgerald vs. Mike NifongIt is time to revisit the criminal justice system in view of the commutation of Libby’s sentence. A few weeks ago I wrote that Fitzgerald was appointed special prosecutor to find out who leaked restricted information about Valerie Plame. Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald knew that no one in the Bush Administration was responsible for any leak of Valerie Plame’s name before he began his investigation into the Bush Administration. Fitzgerald knew former State Department employee Armitage was the actual “leaker”. So did Colin Powell!
Instead of immediately stopping the investigation, Fitzgerald told Armitage not to say anything about his being the actual leak source. Instead, Fitzgerald pursued his case against the Bush Administration. Fitzgerald withheld that information in order to pursue a political witch-hunt lasting more than a year, costing millions and resulting in the conviction of Libby who could not, or would not recall what happened in 2003. It turned out there never was any crime committed by the disclosure. So Libby was sentenced to jail for lying about a non existing crime while the prosecutor wasn’t looking for who made the disclosure, but who could be trapped into a lie due to a faulty memory. Colin Powel knew all about it because Armitage confessed to him before calling Fitzgerald.
Now let’s examine Mike Nifong crime. Mike Nifong had a complainant who swore she had been raped. Fitzgerald knew there was no crime committed; Nifong did not. Nifong wanted to be elected to an office he was appointed to so he withheld information exculpatory to the defendants.
Nifong lost his law license and is facing further prosecution. Here are some of the charges against him:
He made public comments that have a substantial likelihood of heightening public condemnation of the accused. Fitzgerald did worse. His actions suggested that the Administration was guilty of a major crime, fully knowing that no such crime existed.
Dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation by withholding exculpatory information. Ditto Fitzgerald.
Nifong's actions were so disgraceful that seeing him formally removed from office was an appropriate step toward assuring the people that prosecutors don't have free rein to trample on the rights of criminal defendants or make criminal defendants out of people for political reasons. Ditto Fitzgerald.
Despite the absence of any underlying crime, Fitzgerald filed charges against Libby for denying to the FBI and the grand jury that he had discussed the Wilson case with reporters. Libby, who’s job was to talk to reporters every day, every hour, was convicted on the testimony of reporters from NBC, the New York Times and Time magazine and Tim Russert.
Fitzgerald was lying to the nation daily, denying that he knew who the leaker was, conspiring to withhold the evidence, hoping to trap Carl Rove or some other Administration official. Certainly what they have done and/or failed to do is far more criminal than anything "Scooter" Libby is accused of doing.
Fitzgerald and Armitage have wasted millions of dollars and large portions of people's lives. And not just Libby's, but Karl Rove’s, Judith Miller's and the hundreds of other participants in the various Grand Juries and "investigations" into what was never a crime.
Fitzgerald and Armitage and Former Secretary of State Colin Powell have helped our enemies at home and abroad by allowing the preposterous "treason" investigation against the Bush administration dominate the world's headlines .
Fitzgerald and Armitage should both face serious jail time for their disgusting charade.
Nifong is disbarred and jobless. Fitzgerald and Armitage are heroes.
